Employee Spotlight: Heidi LaCentra

Each month, we spotlight one of our great TJM employees. This month, meet Heidi LaCentra, one of the behind-the-scenes folks who help make us successful!

What do you do at TJM and how long have you worked here?

I am Assistant to the Controller. I was first hired in in August, 2017. I left for 9 months (in 2019), came back in January, 2020.

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

 I enjoy working on varying projects daily. No two days are the same.

 What’s the work you’ve done that you’re most proud of?

 At one time, I was given the opportunity to help with a project that was very important to management and the owners. I would like to think my influence on the project made an everlasting impression and has allowed the company to continue its prosperous trajectory.

 What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?

 I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, Erik, and my children, Jeremiah and Emma, by taking them on adventures both locally and throughout the U.S.

Tell us a little about your family.

I have a teenage son and a toddler daughter. My husband, Erik, and I have been married a little over three wonderful years.

What do you like most about living in central Florida?

 This area has the best of my childhood in South Florida by being close enough to lakes, oceans, and rivers, as well as the ruralness that provides the nature I enjoyed while living in North Carolina.

What do you like best about working for TJM?

Honestly, the people here are very diverse. They make everyday interesting with their different stories with all their experiences.

Any exciting things planned in the future?

I am very excited to be travelling to North Carolina this summer to see family and have more adventures.

Anything else you’d like to tell the world about?

I am nothing without the saving grace of my loving Savior Jesus.  His love and grace have blessed me not only at TJM, but in all areas of my life, and for that I am eternally grateful.
