Employee Spotlight: Emily Mitchell
Recognizing one of our outstanding staff members, the reason for TJM's success
Rick Cundiff
What do you do at TJM and how long have you worked here?
I’m the graphic artist for our Direct department. I’ve worked here a little over three years.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
Being able to be creative every day. Every proof is different.
What’s the work you’ve done that you’re most proud of?
I can’t think of anything specifically, but I like working on projects that are for a cause. I’ve done some things here that are going to be used in fundraisers to help other people. Those always make me happy, knowing that a product could mean so much for someone who needs help.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I like to try new things all the time, so I’m interested in most anything creative: drawing, writing, piano, and DIY anything, lol.
Tell us a little about your family.
My husband and I have one dog and one cat and that’s all the babies for now. We spoil our niece and nephews to no end, and are always getting together on the weekends with my parents and my sister’s family. We’re pretty close-knit.
What do you like most about living in central Florida?
We live so close to so many places. It makes it very easy to plan a trip and just go. You can just drive and always run into something beautiful. The horse farms are my personal favorite.
What do you like best about working for TJM?
I love the people I work with. It may be cliché but they are like family to me. They make every day the best day.
Any exciting things planned in the future?
I’m actually in the process of having our forever home built. We’ve just recently sold our house so we’re full speed ahead for whatever life wants to throw at us!
Anything else you’d like to tell the world about?
You are capable of absolutely anything. Don’t hold yourself back thinking you can’t. There isn’t enough time in this life to waste wondering what if!
