Employee Spotlight: Brendon Wade
Celebrating one of our dedicated staff members who serve you, our customers
Rick Cundiff
Each month, we highlight one of our dedicated TJM employees. This month, meet graphic artist Brendon Wade!
What do you do at TJM and how long have you worked here?
I am an artist for the Art Department. I have been with TJM since July 2019.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
I enjoy working with my coworkers in the art department and creating new and interesting art that I can be proud of.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I am a painter who specializes in a form of art that I have coined “Anaglyphic Stereoscopic Animation.” It is basically red/blue paintings seen through a viewfinder similar to classic 3D glasses. [Editor’s Note: Brendon further explained that the red and blue of the two paintings combine through the viewfinder to create a 3D image. The animation shows motion from one image to the next.]
And I am currently a resident painter at the Magnolia Art Xchange.
Tell us a little about your family.
My parents are originally from Illinois, but raised me in Florida my entire life. I have recently moved out of their house and now am living on my own with my girlfriend.
What do you like most about living in central Florida?
Sadly, I do not enjoy living in central Florida, and look forward to living in a state that experiences more variety in their seasons.
What do you like best about working for TJM?
I enjoy that there is hardly any repetition between jobs, I like seeing the things I create and learning the process that they have been created by.
Any exciting things planned in the future?
I keep telling Leonard [Tierra] that I would like his job [Art Director] in every evaluation that I have, so fingers crossed. But my immediate future plans are to market my own art and hopefully become self-sustaining through my art.
Anything else you’d like to tell the world about?
I guess I could use this moment to shill my art. I enjoy talking about the techniques and processes that go into creation. If you’d like to see what I work on or want to talk about the processes that go into it, feel free to ask me or follow me on Instagram @brendonwade. Or check out my website at www.brendonwadeart.com.
