Remembering a lost friend with custom challenge coins

Each month, we celebrate one of our great customers. This month’s Customer Spotlight falls on Joseph Longo of New York.
The Covid-19 pandemic has taken too many lives this year, leaving family and friends adrift. Joe Longo’s friend Richie was one.such Covid victim. He passed away earlier this year at the age of 56. Mr. Longo wanted a way to honor his good friend and fellow dart team member.
He decided to see about custom patches for the team’s shirts.
“I didn’t know if it was possible to get a patch with a person’s likeness on it, and [have it] really look good,” he said.
A brief Google search led him to us. He contacted our sales rep, Tim Allison.
“He was truly great,” Mr. Longo said. “He was there to help, not begin a hard sell… very welcoming/comfortable, and explaining things clearly and thoroughly. I had various feedback and questions along the process, and he was there through emails and phone calls for each step.”
He decided to order 3” patches for the team shirts. Richie’s daughter, also a member of the dart team, loved the design.
“[She] had texted me, ‘I think it looks great. When you order them, would you mind ordering 4 or 5 extra? My mom and siblings love it.’”
When Mr. Longo called back to complete his order, including an extra five patches, he got a pleasant surprise.
“When I spoke to Tim, I told him I would be ordering fifteen instead of ten. He immediately replied that he would go ahead and order twenty because of the pricing structure. So what would have been $130 for ten patches and $190 for fifteen became $134 for twenty (ASTOUNDING!!!)”
Mr. Longo settled in to wait for his patches to arrive.
“Expecting the patches to arrive in 2 to 4 weeks, they came in exactly ONE week–ordered on a Thursday, got ’em the next Thursday…plus there were extra patches sent. Again, absolutely ASTOUNDING.”
“And the patches are GREAT,” he added. “And we got them in time for more day matches this season. I couldn’t have been happier and more appreciative.
“I hope I can pass along more business to you,” he concluded. “And thank you for the opportunity for this feedback. I like to give praise where praise is due.”
Thank you, Mr. Longo, for giving us the opportunity to serve you, and to honor your friend Richie. We look forward to serving your patch needs in the future!
