Customer Spotlight: Coates Golf

If you've been following us on our social media accounts, you know we're super excited for the upcoming Coates Golf Championship at Golden Ocala Country Club here in town. One of the first LPGA Tour stops, the Coates Golf Championship is something golf fans in central Florida look forward to.

Opening their headquarters in Ocala in early 2015, Coates Golf established themselves as a premier retailer for women's golf equipment. On their website, they explain that previously, women golfers relied on "dumbed down" equipment with "cheapened materials, bedazzled with feminine colors, then labeled 'ladies clubs'." The other option for women was to "purchase men's clubs and attempt to modify them to meet their needs, but players are often left with clubs whose mechanics have been destroyed."

Coates Golf's mission statement is: "Coates Golf was created with the intent and dedication to fill the gap with performance golf equipment for female athletes in a male dominated industry."

Beginning last year, Coates Golf established the Coates Golf Championship as an opening stop of the LPGA Tour. The 2015 event drew in more than 80,000 visitors and had an economic impact of $18.4 million, according to event organizers. Needless to say, the championship is a huge draw for golf fans all over Florida.

For the 2016 Coates Golf Championship, TJM Promos is excited to be chosen as the Official Promotional Products Supplier! We designed a number of products for the championship, including hats, shirts, and jackets for the volunteers.
