The 2016 Coates Golf Championship is nearing the end with only a day left to play!
We stopped by Friday morning to catch a few rounds of play and see what the tournament had to offer. After Thursday’s washout with rain all afternoon, Friday was absolutely beautiful outdoors. You couldn’t have asked for a better day to play some golf!
Play began early Friday morning at 7:30 a.m., as players continued Round Two after it was suspended due to inclement weather Thursday afternoon. At the end of Round Two, Korean golfer Ha Na Jang held the lead at 7 under par, with a number of other players tied at 6 or 5 under par.
To make up the time lost on Thursday, players are expected to play until the sun goes down on Friday, so there’s still plenty of golf to go at Golden Ocala.
TJM Promos was proud to be an official sponsor for the Coates Golf Championship this year, and it was exciting to see the TJM logo on signs and apparel around the tournament. The hats and jackets worn by volunteers were made right here in our production facility in Ocala, Florida.
We are thrilled to be a sponsor for such a large event featuring players and fans from around the world. It was an exciting event to attend and be a part of, and you can bet we’re already looking forward to future opportunities down the road.
We can’t thank Coates Golf and Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club enough for giving us the opportunity to be a part of the championship. We’re already looking forward to next year!
TJM Promos also participated in the Pro-Am Tournament at The Coates Golf Championship with Auto Customs and ProAv Management on the Tuesday before official LPGA tournament play began.
Our team consisted of two professional golfers: Jane Park and Carlota Ciganda, and four amateur golfers: Jeff Martin, Carl Hernandez, Zak Bernard from Auto Customs, and Dean Gibb from ProAv Management. After a full day of play, the team finished in the lead at a whopping 18 under par, three ahead of the second-place teams!
It was a great opportunity to play the same course at Golden Ocala before the Championship began the next day. We’ll be back again next year for more tournament play!
